Edinburgh-London
We slept in a little this morning then went for a walk around the town. We walked down the main street a little further than yesterday and came to a big cathedral. They were in mass so we only took pictures from the outside. After that we came back through the old city and the castle. We did a little shopping on the way and went by a couple of scotch "bottle shops". Then we went back to the hostel to round up all of our stuff and catch the train. We are taking a gamble on our rail passes as we were told that they actually don't work in the UK just the night before. The train was really full when we got on but we found some seats. The ticket taker checked our passes and said we were good to go. That was a big relief! The train kept getting more crowded with every stop and seeing as we didn't have reservations we were forced to move from seat to seat. That was fine until the train started having electrical problems. We were told to get off the train and board another. The other train was already full of people and now it had another full trainload coming on board. We had to stand up between the cars for the last hour of the trip home. We arrived in London about 2 1/2 hours late but had no trouble finding our hostel. After checking in we went to the store and grabbed some pizza for dinner. Then came back to watch the soccer game. It was definitely an interesting day!
