Lake Bled, Slovenia

Today we got up early to go to Lake Bled. The views on the way were amazing, everything here is so green and colorful. It only took about 3 hours to get Lake Bled, which we were really excited about because the name sounded very interesting. Kristen and Clayton had already been there before, so they knew where they were going. Once we got there we found a camp site really close to the lake, and we were surrounded by big green trees, it was so beautiful. Then Kristen and Clayton showed us around town, which was walking around the lake looking at the fish, the views, and the people. Clayton and Rj decided that they would jump into the cold lake water, so they went off a rope that was tied to a tree. Everyone that was near us stopped to watch the event, which Kristen and I cheered them on. Then we decided to walk around the rest of lake, and then start cooking dinner. However, I forgot to bring the cooking pans, so it made things interesting. We tried to get a pan everywhere, but no one had one or carried one. However, we decided that it wouldn't stop us, we were having these hamburgers no matter what. It took about 2 hours to get the grill figured out, to get the fire started, and to get everything cooked, it was an adventure! The best hamburgers ever, we decided. The next day we all woke up early and decided to go for a run around the beautiful lake, about 3.5 miles. It was a nice way to start the morning and then we packed up to go to Croatia.

Pots, pans, who needs any stinken pots and pans. Glad you had a great time in Slovenia. Who knew no one carries pots and pans camping with them. Looks like a old time grill though. Glad you had fun. We just got back from Moab, etc. Have many great pictures of Bandit and us. Will post some on the blog and then email the rest.

Wow, I guess I am glad I go camping with " ever ready Julie" with her 7 tents 4 sleeping bags, 3 coffee pots and 2 sets of cookware.
I am just glad you were able to cook the burgers not that the beer you had later wouldn't have killed all the bacteria. The trees and lake sound different can't wait to see the pictures. Did you get some of RJ and Claton swinging?
Love you all keep the stories coming!
